Start with a decision, not a tool
Choose an operational decision that is slow, repetitive, or difficult to make with current information. Define who makes it, what evidence is needed, and what a useful recommendation would look like.
Check the information foundation
Incomplete inventory or shipment records limit the usefulness of any recommendation. Review data ownership, freshness, and quality before relying on an automated interpretation.
Design for review and accountability
Keep recommendations understandable and make it clear when a person must approve the action. Test unusual orders and incomplete inputs as well as common scenarios.
Measure the operational outcome
Compare the workflow with a baseline. Review time spent, exception rates, and the quality of decisions. Expand only after the team can explain the benefit and the failure modes.
